The World of Picasso was established for the purpose of the founder’s collection and as well in order to gather collectors of Picasso art pieces and connect each other and their private collections in the Czech Republic. This main vision is to present the fascinating life of the artist himself and emphasize on the effects of Picasso ‘s life reflected on his art pieces.
The idea to introduce the private collections to a broader audience in the Czech Republic has established not only into creating special exhibitions as the Picasso Life exhibition in Český Krumlov is, but to develop further activities related to the main vision.
With these activities The World of Picasso celebrates the art work and life of one of the greatest artists in the 20th century.
The exhibition Picasso Life in Český Krumlov reflects the collectors visions and directions of how the collections want to be presented and therefore shine with all its glory under the right spotlight. Not only Český Krumlov is one of the main cultural cities in the Czech Republic besides the capital, but also the historical building Galerie Klášterů Český Krumlov is underlining the historical context and architectural importance of presenting the collections of such an artist as Pablo Picasso was.
